Cave Degree 2013

On December 27, 1813, the Grand Lodge of North Carolina chartered the Grand Lodge of Tennessee. To celebrate this bicentennial, a NORTH CAROLINA MM Degree will be conferred by Fairview Lodge #339, Kings Mountain. On Friday night August 16, a Tennessee EA degree will be conferred at Union Lodge  No. 38, by a team comprised of brethren from the original Lodges that formed the Grand Lodge of Tennessee (these Lodges were chartered by North Carolina and had North Carolina Numbers–they were reassigned Tennessee numbers from 1 to 9). The still existing lodges participating in the Friday night degree are:

Greeneville #3 (NC 43)
Overton #5 (NC 51)
Hiram #7  (NC 55)
Cumberland #8 (NC 60)
Western Star #9  (NC 61)

10 AM Lunch at Union Lodge

1 PM  A North Carolina MM Degree will be conferred by Fairview Lodge #339, Kings Mountain

BRING A JACKET AND A CHAIR TO SIT ON–THE CAVE IS COOL AND DAMP!

5-7 PM BBQ will be served at Union Lodge

Guests are invited to remain at the Lodge Hall (phone 865 773 3938) while degrees are in progress.  Guests are asked to arrange their own transportation–UNION LODGE IS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE GUEST TRANSPORTATION.  There is no charge for meals, however, donations are appreciated.  Maps to the Cave, Cave Degree Pins ($3) and Masonic Jewelry  are also available at the Lodge.  Proceeds and donations are used to pay for Cave Degree expenses.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Grand Lodge of Tennessee does not recognize Prince Hall Masonry.
