The 56th annual Cave Degree will be August 20th. & 21st. Union Lodge #38 is located at 550 West Spring Street in Kingston, Tennessee (Exit 352 of I-40) The cave is located approximately 15 minutes East of the lodge. (maps provided)
August 20th., A Wisconsin EA Degree will be conferred in the Lodge Hall, located on the second floor of the lodge, on Friday night. We have an elevator to assist access to the second floor if needed.
August 21st., A degree team from Massachusetts will confer a MM Degree on Saturday afternoon in the Cave starting at 1:00 P.M. (we recommend a jacket, folding chair, and head covering for the cave, approximately 50 degrees and damp) ( head covering is permitted in the cave for all attendees due to the cool, damp atmosphere)Dress for all events is CASUAL. It is a short walk thru the woods up to the cave. The trail is not wheelchair friendly.
All meals will be served in the lodge dining area located on the first floor of the lodge.
Friday evening dinner will be from 4:30 to 7:00, Saturday morning breakfast 7:30 to 10:00, and Saturday evening dinner from 4:30 to 6:00.
There is no charge for any of the weekend activities, however, donation boxes will be available should you care to assist with the cost of the food.
We will have Cave Degree Items for sale, (shirts, hats, pins, 30 oz. Cave Degree Stainless Steel tumblers) at the lodge, and we request that no other items be made available for sale.
Registration will be at the lodge, where you will be issued a KING SOLOMONS PASSPORT which will allow access to both degrees. A valid dues card and a picture ID, or someone to vouch for you, is all that is required to register.
We encourage guests (wives, children, friends, etc. anyone not eligible for a passport) to come with you and they are welcome to all meals and to visit around the lodge as they desire. The coffee pot is always on.
